Dutch singer-songwriter Lonely Rider pays tribute to his musical heroes Bruce Springsteen and Johnny Cash eon his Lonely Rider EP, five rather slow road trip songs delivered in a hoarse voice, accompanying himself on acoustic and electric guitar. It's a valiant effort, but the rather flat production muffles the sound. Next time set up shop in a room with warmer acoustics and songs like The Ride and the title track might actually gain traction.
Lonely Rider is a self-released EP. Release date: November 6th.
