Baltimore roots rock band The Bridge have released their fifth studio album National Bohemian. The seasoned road rats were produced by Steve Berlin, who did a good job capturing their various moods. The loud, roaring saxes of Geraldine, the slide guitar of the slow Long Way To Climb and bar room bravado of Rosie all drink from the same well: dirty, heartfelt rawk 'n' roll.
Berlin must have spend quite some time on getting the right drum sound as the rock solid bottom for National Bohemian. Hey Mama has a nice juxtaposition with the vocals and playing a little bit behind the beat like Charlie Watts always seems to do works really well for Colorado Motel.
