White Firs: "In My Way" b/w "Nothing's Never Much"

Can you land a record deal after playing just three gigs? Liverpool/York alternative rock trio White Firs was signed to specialty label Sea Records after an intimate gig in art gallery and have just release their first single. In My Way b/w Nothing's Never Much finds the middle ground between psychedelic noise and pop sensibilities - think of a mash-up of The Outsiders and Beck after been worked over with extra coarse sandpaper.

The band consists of Barton brothers Danny and James with drummer Jack Holdstock. Still in their early twenties they have been playing in various bands since they were teenagers. With a shared love for The Stooges and Big Star they have made a single that has cult classic and collector's item written all over it, deserving to be a big hit on cutting edge radio programs like Tom Robinson's Radio 6.
