Bringing the West Coast sound to NYC buy way of London and Paris. The Americans were founded by Charlie Klarsfeld who grew up in Europe. After releasing a self-titled EP in 2008, their second helping is called The White EP, six poppy tunes that are like a ray of sunshine on a cloudy Winter Day. Opening track Try (Nobody Wants To) ends with an extended coda featur3ing the Jackie Wilson 1967 smash hit "(Your Love Keeps Lifting Me) Higher the listener is transported to the golden age of Pop radio. Lush arrangements and layered vocals galore, with nods to the Beatles, The Beach Boys and Blood, Sweat and Tears.

Diamond is the gem on this collection of songs. Try may feature Daniel Merriweather and Sean Lennon is lending a hand for Requiem, but for Diamond Klarsfeld has come up with a guitar line that is instantly recognizamble and original, proving that new tricks can still be invented for r&b infused pop songs.

The Americans:
Charlie Klarsfeld: vocals, guitar
Sissy Clemens: vocals, tamborine
Kyle Olson: drums
James Preston: bass
John Stanesco: keys, saxophone
